Michael Fux has become the world’s first owner of the McLaren Senna. While that will go down in history – together with the special club of 500 individuals who will eventually own them – what’s more intriguing is the fact that the colour of the car is the same colour as his shoes: emerald green.
“They were showing me greens, and nothing was emerald. And then I thought and I looked on my shoe and my shoe had a piece of patent leather in emerald green. So I put it up on top of the table and I said, ‘That’s the colour’. So they photographed it and that’s the colour. So that’s Fux emerald green,” he proudly said.
We have written about the McLaren Senna and this track weapon is a sight to behold. It is a tribute to the prowess of McLaren’s greatest driver, Ayrton Senna. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces an immense 789bhp and 800Nm, but Fux, who is also dubbed the ‘Mattress King’, won’t be taking it to the track.
“I won’t track it, but I will drive it fast every once in a while. A car like this, it would be a shame to track it. You tear it up when you take it on the track,” he said.
This Cuban-born businessman’s love for cars is immense. He has 140 cars and multiple garages – just follow his Instagram account.

The man can’t decide which car he will be driving today.
As for the Senna, he said “You’re looking at it as a piece of art. People pay hundreds of millions of dollars for a picture. This thing will never lose its value. So it’s a piece of art. Something great to look at, something great to drive, what else can one ask?”
