Perodua Continues Support of Malaysia’s Healthcare Industry

Just recently, Malaysian carmaker Perodua contributed medical equipment and gifts worth RM 87,967 to Shah Alam General Hospital. This is part of an ongoing effort by the country’s leading car brand for Malaysian front liners whilst increasing the health service quality throughout the country.

Some of the items given were a free-standing warmer, three photo lights, a high-tech jelly pad, 7 stethoscope neonates, a LSCS set used during caesarean procedures, and 10 surgical scissors for the hospital’s paediatric ward. Hampers were also given to patients and frontliners.

“We aspire to be a responsible corporate citizen and we will assist where we can in ensuring consistent and continuous access to medical supplies for hospitals and our entire health care system,” said Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President and CEO of Perodua.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions and the Ministry of Health to see where we can add value in the country’s healthcare system,” he added.

Perodua has contributed medical supplies to several public hospitals in the past, such as Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selayang Hospital, and Sabah Women and Children Hospital in Likas, living up to their motto “Building Cars, People First”
